The top leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (JAAC) sharply criticized Pakistan’s government and military on Tuesday, amid ongoing civilian unrest in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Addressing the violence, the JAAC leader likened Pakistan’s administration to a “witch” seeking to kill its own people.
He condemned recent remarks by Pakistani military chief Asim Munir targeting India’s Hindus, saying, “You call India’s Hindus ‘Kaafir’ and accuse them of atrocities, yet you, as a Muslim leader, are committing atrocities here in PoK.”
The activist called out Pakistan’s claims of an “Azad Kashmir,” stating the region is far from free.
“You have used force to silence the common people and shut down the media so the world cannot see your reality,” he said, urging accountability for the killings of civilians during the ongoing protests.
The statement comes as the situation remains fragile in PoK and over 12 civilians have lost their lives due to brutal actions taken by security forces.
