The man arrested identified as Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, is a resident of Jammu & Kashmir and was detained from Srinagar by NIA, The Hindu reported.
Earlier this month, on 10 November, a car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort killed more than 10 people and injured at least 30 people.
As per the investigators, Dr. Umar Un Nabi was part of the terror module that was linked to this deadly attack. Umar was also seen in the i20 car that exploded and caused the attack.
Other names linked to the attack include Dr. Muzammil Shakil, Dr. Shaheen Shahid among others. Faridabad’s Al Falah University has also been a centre of focus since the accused were linked to the university.
With another arrest, investigators are now probing deeper into the network’s activities, academic links, and potential handlers as the case expands across multiple states.
