Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Bihar’s Purnea ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, launched a sharp attack on the RJD-Congress, saying their leaders “only worry about their own families and not the people’s.”
Without naming opponents who recently made derogatory remarks about his mother, Modi said, “For RJD and Congress, the biggest concern is their family. But for Modi, you all are Modi’s family.”
Highlighting his government’s pro-poor measures, PM Modi announced a major cut in GST from September 22, the first day of Navratri.
PM Modi also stated that daily essentials like toothpaste, soap, ghee, food items, and children’s stationery would become cheaper, easing kitchen and household expenses.
He also assured families that festival shopping for clothes and shoes would be lighter on their pockets. Modi added that only a government that truly cares for the poor works for their welfare.
