A Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander has made a rare admission, claiming the damage done by Indian forces to terror mastermind Masood Azhar during Operation Sindoor.
He claimed that the Indian forces “tore into pieces” the family of JeM leader Masood Azhar during strikes in Bhawalpur.
A video has been doing rounds on social media in which JeM leader Masood Ilyas Kashmiri recalled how Indian troops stormed their hideout on May 7, highlighting the devastating impact of the assault.
Operation Sindoor, a coordinated offensive by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force came as a befitting response to the April 22 terror attack in J&K’s Pahalgam that claimed 26 civilian lives.
Under this operation, Indian forces targeted nine major terror facilities linked to JeM, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen in Bawalpu, Kotli and Muridke, with officials reassuring that no military or civilian sites were hit.
While Islamabad claimed civilian casualties, New Delhi maintained the mission was a precise counter-terror operation.
Pakistani officials have consistently denied links to terror networks, even feigning ignorance about Masood Azhar’s whereabouts.
India, however, has reiterated that its actions are aimed solely at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, underscoring that the fight is against terrorism, not Pakistani civilians.
