A stampede during the pre-release event of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad, in December 2024 left a woman dead and her minor son grievously injured, prompting a police investigation into crowd control and safety lapses.
Nearly a year after the incident, Hyderabad Police have filed a chargesheet in the case, naming 23 people as accused.
Actor Allu Arjun and members of his security team have been included in the chargesheet, while the theatre management has been named as the prime accused for alleged negligence in managing the crowd.
According to police, Allu Arjun has been listed as accused number 11.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar confirmed the filing of the chargesheet, stating that 23 persons, including the actor, have been cited as accused.
