Just a day after wrapping up voting for Bihar Assembly elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for misusing exit polls.
On Wednesday, Yadav said that the BJP is manipulating exit polls to demoralise opposition parties ahead of assembly election results on Friday, November 14.
Akhilesh also claimed that the Mahagathbandhan that comes under the INDIA bloc will emerge victorious on Friday.
While addressing a press conference after the SP’s state executive meeting, Akhilesh alleged that survey agencies were part of the BJP’s strategy. He also cited the Chandigarh civic polls as an example of alleged manipulation.
Addressing concerns over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Akhilesh accused the BJP of using it to confuse the public and opposition workers.
“The BJP wants people entangled in SIR, BLOs, and voter lists so no one questions their failures,” he said.
The SP chief announced the formation of ‘PDA Prahari’ teams to ensure every vote is counted and pledged to raise complaints with the Election Commission against officials allegedly working in the BJP’s favour.
